Crafting....

Oh yeah!! Down in the studio today and adhering paper together. Lol  It has been so very long since I've been down here playing. Miss my stuff. We put a stove down in here to help heat the house so I had to rearrange the room....ONE MORE TIME. Oh my gosh, I sure hope this is the last time. It looks much better. Still have things to put away but it is roomy and fun. Not to mention WARM. Love the stove. I am working on some projects to send down for a craft bazaar. Not sure I will get it all done but just making a few things is fun, fun, fun. What are you working on right now? Nothing? Join me. Let's get crafty together.

As you may have noticed, I have changed the name of my blog yet again. lol  I am very much into sunshine right now. Well, I have been since we moved to Alaska. Since, we don't get too much of it in the winter time and when we do get sunshine, it doesn't really count. 20 below zero is too cold to go and enjoy the sun. lol That is why I love sunflowers so much. They follow the sun during the day so that their blooms always face it. There are more than a few times I wish I was standing in a sunflower field soaking in that warmth.

This summer has been absolutely amazing. Hot, Hot, Hot!!! Totally loved it. It is raining now but we are in need of that. If all summers were like this one, I could easily cruise through the winters. But I am thinking that this is a fluke. Darn!!!

So, have you been crafty this summer? I was. I made some afghans for our grandson which is due to arrive in a month. We are all excited for this blessed event. I made a "100 days of summer" book but I have to get it updated. So, when I finish it, I will post some pics of it.  I used the paper line from Simple Stories called 100 Days of Summer. I LOVE Simple Stories paper. So fun to use.

Signs of spring?

Ok, maybe not. We still have lots of snow on the ground but it is a happy wreath. I got the idea from Pinterest. I love that site. I used different flowers but I really like how fun it is. Super simple. It is a foam wreath that I got at Joann's (I got all of the supplies at Joann's). Two skeins of Lime Fun Fur and some daisy flowers. You simply wrap the wreath with the fun fur. It is time consuming but not too bad. I hot glued the flowers on. Added tulle for the hanger and voila --- All done. Ready to hang and enjoy. Hope you try it.

Guess what I did today?

No, I didn't work on any UFO's today. Silly. I cleaned my craft room. Ok, there is absolutely no way that could get that room cleaned due to the obscene amount of scrap supplies that I own. But, I did organize it a bit and put away the Christmas and Fall supplies. Will dig out the Spring goodies and make some projects with that. I do own a huge stock of that. What can I say, I love flowers. lol Anyways, back to the room. Guess what I found? No, Elvis was not there but I did locate a punch that I have been missing for over a year. No, I found a couple of UFO's floating around. Now, they are on my table just waiting to be finished. I am looking forward to that, actually. Also, does anyone do Project Life? I talked about it last year just a bit and am interested in doing it this year. It is still early in the year and I can catch up on the picture taking. haha I found the page protectors at Target for under $5. And the albums that they have are D ring and in gorgeous colors. I haven't picked one of those up yet but plan to soon. I am may blow through a gob of pictures that we took last year and put them in those protectors. Use Simple Stories paper lines and be done. I mean, what a great feeling to look at a book that is holding 500 pictures. Let's do it together and encourage each other.

Happy New Year  2013!!!!
Can you believe it is a new year?! Not quite sure where the last one has gone. Pretty sure I missed some of it. But, here we are.  I am looking forward to the new possibilities. What does God have planned for me this year? Very exciting.

Ok, so for this year, I have plans of finishing all of my UFO's (Unfinished Objects). I am sure I am not that I am not the only one that has projects that need finishing. I hope I am not. hahahaha  My craft room should be called Area 51 with all of the UFO's laying about. So, I will be getting started on those first.

What is on your craft list this year. Share your ideas. You may just inspire someone to do that too. Even the littlest of ideas could turn into the grandest of projects.
